The branch point (20110427)

Gameplay Log:
Arash's open interests me. We briefly discuss his advantages and my choices.
We reach a state in the game which I'll call the branch point.
Arash wins and we go back to the branch point.

Arash played Re1+ for the win.
I don't think we played it out, but the endgame is clearly: ... Rd1. Rxd1# 1-0 (20110427)

After some moves we get into a new position and I got my king to prevent his pawns from advancing.
From there, I was eventually able to win.

20110504:
Today Arash and I started a match of chess. We left the game unfinished in a state where I (black) have a negligible piece advantage. However, that advantage would disappear on Arash's turn, since he has my knight pinned. Arash is also spaced out better than I am.

At one point in the game, I questioned whether or not I should save the queen. Arash recommended that I most definitely save it.
